The Haute Couture Fall/Winter 17/18 Fashion Week started yesterday. Finally. I’ve been in withdrawal since the last one. Here are some of the looks that were shown yesterday:
Ronald Van Der Kemp kicked the week off with his show at 10 am. To see more from his collection, head over to Vogue.com.
At 11, it was Proenza Schouler’s turn. At 12, Xuan showed off a new collection, and after that, it was Af Vandevorst. Then it was Maurizio Galante at 2 pm and then Adeline André at 3 pm.
It was finally Rodarte’s turn at 4.30 pm. Unlike others, they showed a Ready-to-Wear collection for spring 2018. The use of flowers as accessories completely stole the show yesterday. Here are some of the looks. If you want to see more, Vogue has an excellent slideshow at Vogue.com.
After Rodarte’s show, it was Galia Lahav. Now, if you read my post from yesterday, you know that I am in love with Galia Lahav. Head over to WWD if you like the collection as much as I do.
Chinese designer Guo Pei continued the day with a gorgeous collection of dresses accompanied by Chopard jewellery. The magnificent dresses were shown at 6.30 pm, only an hour after the Galia Lahav collection. WWD has a pictures of the complete collection.
The day was capped off with an Azzaro Couture show at 7.30 pm, and ended with Maison Rabih Kayrouz at 8.30 pm. Overall, the day was filled with amazing creations that completely embodied imagination and creativity. Fashion week will of course continue for another few days, so I am looking forward to the upcoming fashion shows.
